How NextGen Online University collects, uses, and protects personal information. Last updated August 1, 2026.
This policy applies to www.nextgen-university.com and to all services operated by Next Generation Learning LLC, doing business as NextGen Online University, 6965 Piazza Grande Avenue, Suite 206, Orlando, Florida 32835. Questions about this policy go to admissions@nextgen-university.com or 866-720-6221.
We collect information you give us directly when you request information, request a credit evaluation, apply for admission, enroll, pay tuition, or contact any office of the university. That includes your name, date of birth, contact details, prior education history, transcripts and academic records, employment information when an employer is paying tuition, and payment details processed by our payment provider.
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit the site: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring page. We use cookies for basic site function and for measuring which pages people actually use. You can block cookies in your browser and the site will still work.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
If you asked to be contacted about enrolling, we may call, text, or email you about programs and start dates. You can stop that at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in any email, or telling any staff member. Consent to be contacted is never a condition of enrollment.
We do not sell personal information and we do not rent or trade contact lists. We share information only with service providers who need it to operate the university, such as our learning platform, payment processor, and transcript delivery service, and only for that purpose. We also disclose information when the law requires it, when a state or federal authority requests it as part of its oversight of the institution, and when you have given written consent, for example when you authorize a degree verification.
Education records are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. Enrolled students and graduates have the right to inspect their record, request correction of information they believe is inaccurate, and control the release of information to third parties. We do not release grades, balances, or enrollment details to a parent, spouse, or employer without written consent from the student, regardless of who is paying tuition. To exercise any of these rights, write to the Office of the Registrar at registrar@nextgen-university.com.
Academic records, including transcripts and degrees conferred, are kept permanently. That is what allows us to verify a credential decades after graduation. Application materials from people who never enrolled are kept for three years. Marketing contact records are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Records are stored on access controlled systems, transmitted over encrypted connections, and available only to staff whose job requires them. No system is perfect. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by Florida law.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to stop contacting you, or ask us to delete records we are not legally required to keep. Send the request to admissions@nextgen-university.com and we will respond within 30 days. Residents of states with additional privacy rights may exercise those rights the same way, at no cost, without discrimination in the services we provide.
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date. Material changes affecting enrolled students are also sent by email.
