Who this is for
Most of our undergraduates are between 28 and 50. They supervise people, sign off on budgets, or run a location, and they have hit a ceiling because a posting says bachelor's degree required. Some finished two years of college a decade ago and stopped. Some never started.
The program assumes you already understand how a business works from the inside. Instead of teaching theory in a vacuum, most assignments ask you to apply the week's material to a real organization, usually your own. You will write a staffing plan, read a real set of financial statements, price a product, and defend a decision to a manager who disagrees with you.
Curriculum
Every course is three semester hours and runs eight weeks. You take two at a time. General education comes first unless you transfer it in, then the business core, then management, then the capstone.

The capstone is built around an organization you choose, in most cases your current employer. You produce a written analysis and a recommendation you could actually hand to a decision maker.
Admission requirements
If you are missing a document, apply anyway. An advisor will help you request it. Applications are reviewed in the order they arrive and most decisions are issued within three business days.
A high school diploma, a GED, or a recognized equivalent. Home school completion is accepted with a transcript signed by the administering parent or program.

Common questions
Up to 90 of the 120 hours. We accept credit for courses completed at institutions that were licensed or accredited at the time you attended, with a grade of C or better, in subjects that map to something in our curriculum. Military training evaluated by the American Council on Education is treated the same way.
You will get the exact number in writing before you owe anything. If the evaluation comes back lower than you hoped, you can walk away.
Plan on twelve to fifteen hours a week for two courses. That is roughly two hours a night on weeknights plus a longer block on the weekend. Students who take one course per term instead of two spend about seven hours a week and finish more slowly.
No. Course material is released weekly and assignments are due on set days, usually Sunday night. Instructors hold optional office hours by video and answer messages within one business day.
Yes. You can sit out a term without withdrawing from the program, and your transfer credit and completed coursework stay on your record. Tell your advisor before the term starts so nothing is billed. Students may sit out up to two consecutive terms before re-enrollment paperwork is required.
Many do. If your employer offers tuition assistance or reimbursement, we can invoice them directly and send the grade documentation their program requires at the end of each term. Ask an advisor for the employer billing packet and hand it to your HR contact.
No. NextGen Online University does not participate in federal Title IV programs, so there are no federal grants or federal student loans through the university. Tuition is paid directly by the student or a sponsoring employer, and interest free monthly payment plans are available for every term.
